Hi Beth. Sunflowers are so bright and pretty. It’s ages since I grew any. I really haven’t the space now. The cockatoos and galahs love the seeds and flock to the Paddocks/fields to feast on them. It’s nice and sunny here today after having heavy rain yesterday and it seems the days will be nice through to next week. That will dry the ground out a little as it’s beginning to get soggy. I’m thinking I may go outdoors later this afternoon to potter around. I’ll take Muffy with me so he can have a romp around. Enjoy the rest of the week. Hugs ~Pat~

Catherine Annette Hanshaw was an American Jazz Age singer. She was one of the most popular radio stars of the late 1920s and early 1930s, with many of her most notable performances taking place on NBC's Maxwell House Show Boat. Over four million of her records had been sold by 1934, following the peak of her popularity.
In her ten-year recording career, she recorded about 250 sides. In a 1934 poll conducted by Radio Stars magazine, she received the title of best female popular singer. Second place went to Ethel Shutta, third place went to Ruth Etting, and fourth place went to Kate Smith.
She was a prolific performer (with over 780 recordings!), and made records under dozens of pseudonyms including Gay Ellis for sentimental songs, Dot Dare and Patsy Young (for Betty Boop impressions), as well as Ethel Bingham, Marion Lee, Janet Shaw, and Lelia Sandford.
We've had nice weather since Sunday..looks like rain on Thursday. The heat returns next week..90's again. Our grass has taken off since weekend before last. That one inch of rain from last Thursday was like fuel on the grass. I just got home from donating blood. All went well..so I can go back again after October 20. We will be at the beach Oct 17-24..so will try and get back there after we return home. I'll see the chiropractor tomorrow morning. Then after I leave there, I'll go to the local grocer and see what meats they have on sale. Our freezer is getting low. Maybe after August says goodbye, the cool temps will come and decide to stay...Have a wonderful week bud.
