Our temps are gradually dropping...by the weekend. 89. We are planning a day trip on Sunday for my birthday..going to visit Black Mountain NC. About an hour and 40 minutes NW of us. They have a nice park/lake in town, lots of shops, and several restaurants. I think we are going to try the Mexican place in town. I've been sitting here this evening scouting out the area, etc. weather should be good..cooler at least. Not much going on here this week. I bumped my donation appt to next week. I did get a walk in this morning. Surprisingly, there was a slight breeze. The cats have been coming in at night..of course, they wake us up later wanting to go back outside. Enjoy the week and we will keep praying for cooler temps to come soon.
Oh Beth! Thanks for the reminder!!! My feeders are empty. I am going out in a few minutes to get them and fill them. We are on day 23 in row for 100 or above but we are 34 days above 100 and record for days above is 42 or so and we have a chance to break that record. They said it could be the end of September.

hello Beth! I just got back inside from watering my flowers/bushes, clean out and put fresh water in the bird bath...I try to do it aroud 6:30 a.m. every other day, to beat the heat of the day...we're now under a "dangerous heat warning" for the rest of the week..I NEED to get myself motivated to start up my chair exercises again...but....LOL!
I went for coffee and BJ'S wholesale., bought Pastrami for dinner tonight for me and my son., made choclate cookies. have a good night., see you in the morning
