We will see more rain next week it's looking like..milder temps for the next few days. I hope to get some yard work done by Friday. Bought a battery operated weed trimmer. Got to put it together tonight. My fern on the front porch is doing good still. I water it every morning. Dog Days will soon end, so maybe afterwards fall will decide to start sneaking in. Hello! How is your week going for you?? Boyd&I are fine. I certainly have to work on my landscaping on the south West side of our house! Something happened to it this year!! South side gets very little sun, because of pine trees, West side gets plenty of sun in the afternoon. One of our neighbors down the road, brought us corn&green beans from his garden. This year, Boyd only planted, cucumbers& tomatoe plants. Too hard to maintain. Enjoy your week my friends! Hugs Shirley

It's been a very hot humid week! Good news is we are inching closer to fall.

Oh I love red velvet cake! For years my girls always made me an orange cake with cream cheese frosting, my favorite.

that's what it was supposed to be here yesterday and today too for that matter, but thank goodness it didn't quite make it that high... maybe over in Ft Worth / Dallas city propers it was....but not here...we're not really out in the country, but we're not in the city of Weatherford either.

Good morning Beth!  I hope you have a cool day, I'm staying inside with my fan blowing on me.

Wednesday is here and I am working the last two days left in July.  Where did the month go and school will be starting in the blink of any eye. 

Every child need to learn to love every living thing God created.  Those are the eyes and future of the years to come.  

Do you see the beauty in everythinng around us?   Have you shared that with your children and grandchildren? 

Animals, just like kids, love to play in the water and cool off on a hot day!  

Wouldn't it be fun to have am elephant water park near you during the summer?
