Have a great week. Time to get in those last summer adventures. Did you like going to fairs? Even though I was only 3, I remember the New York World's Fair. My dad was stationed at the Naval Reserve Center Long Island at the time. Disney's 'It's A Small World' ride looms large in my memories. I still have pics of my family sitting at the fountain surrounding the Unisphere.
It had been a cloudy day with the sun trying to peak out now and then but looks like there will be some rain soon. It is making it a relaxing cozy afternoon which feels so nice. That makes for some crochet time!
Yesterday was my oldest grandson's 13th birthday! What did I just say? ha ha. he is growing into a fine young man.
August occupies a unique space in the calendar. For many, it is the peak of summer, but for those who find little joy in the heavy heat, it represents something far better: a threshold. It is the final gateway to the "ber" months, a period of cooling air, shortening days, and the quiet comfort of autumn.
